It’s New Year’s Eve, and when Maxine finds out Trish is planning to move to LA, she tries to set her up with newbie Dave, in a bid to make her stay. What Maxine doesn’t know is that Trish is already well acquainted with Dave… and Dave is, in fact, Maxine’s biological dad!

Felix tries to give Martine a dreamy New Year by organising fireworks and tasking Toby, Celeste and DeMarcus with setting up a party; Mercedes confides in Nana about how she fears her marriage may be over; and things go from bad to worse between Cindy and Ollie in the wake of Ollie’s arrest.
