My latest short play Going Down is being performed at two new writing nights over the next couple of weeks – and I’m also acting in it LOLZ.
The piece will be performed firstly on Saturday, March 28 as part of Velvet Trumpet’s Soggy Brass night of new comedy writing at the Hen & Chickens in Highbury & Islington. Tickets are a steal and there’s more info on their Facebook event page here.
Secondly, it’ll be shown on Wednesday, April 2 as part of West Avenue’s latest Briefs night at the Rosemary Branch Theatre along with five other great new pieces. The Facebook event for that one is here and there’s also info here.
The play is performed by myself, Sheila Atim, Charlotte Couture and Jenny Woods and is being directed by the brilliant James Callas Ball. I thought I’d try this new thing where I got a friend of mine to set me a location, a number of characters (with specified genders) and the opening line – and she gave me a hotel lift, three girls and a guy, and said the opening words should be “good king Wenceslas”.
Hopefully see you at one of the shows, yes?
